Brandy Fruity Bites recipe

  This is an easy recipe I made up myself and I thought I’d share it as it makes a good last-minute Christmas pressie.

  Soak about 200g of dried fruit overnight in some brandy (other spirits would probably also work well.

  The next day melt 400g dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of boiling water (make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water).

  Mix the drained fruit in with the melted chocolate and add a few glace cherries and chopped nuts if you like.

  Put spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet covered with greaseproof paper then put into the fridge to set. Once set, leave at room temperature for a while then put the bites into pretty plastic gift bags (mine are from Lakeland and have holly on) and tie with ribbon. The mixture makes enough for one large or 2-3 smaller gifts.

  Easy-peasy and yummy (I know this because I tested one!).
